Endocrinologist Worldwide awarded Dr Naji Torbay M.D has dedicated more than 30 years of research to develop groundbreaking techniques to approach obesity and its consequences.

Born in Tannourine, Lebanon he graduated from American University Of Beirut, then in 1979 he culminated his Post-Doctoral in “Endocrinology, Metabolism And Human Nutrition” at the Columbia University, New York.

In Venezuela, he worked for more than two decades at the UCLA (Universidad Centro Occidental Lisandro Alvarado) as Associate Professor Of Physiology and internal medicine (1980-1999). During that period, he held other positions like Dean of Medical School: (1982 – 1985), Chairman Department of Functional Sciences (Physiology, Biochemistry and Pharmacology); (1993 – 1995) and Clinical Associate – Division of Endocrinology (July 1995 – 2012), American University Of Beirut Medical Center, Lebanon.

Throughout his career, he has received prestigious awards and participated in numerous congresses as a lecturer and member of the most prestigious associations of endocrinology at an international level.

In 1999 he founded the Weight Care Clinic in Beirut, medical establishment dedicated to treat weight management problems, diabetes and endocrine disorders.
